Conal Fagan is an enthusiastic storyteller, relationship builder, and sport for social impact champion from Derry, Northern Ireland, who explores the interconnection between people, passion and purpose.

From an early age, Conal was passionate about encouraging others and celebrating their successes. So when he arrived at the University of Notre Dame and realized that he could become a cheerleader for his peers as the first Irish-born mascot at the university, he knew exactly where he would spend his time.

Conal has a real desire to connect deeply with people, seeking to understand their ‘why’ and walk with them through life. Much of Conal’s intentionality stems from his role as a caregiver for his father who lived with Alzheimer’s disease throughout Conal’s adolescence. This journey supporting his father, along with his mother and siblings, remains one of the most illuminating experiences of Conal’s life.

Beyond family and education, Conal has found a true passion of empowering others through sport. Conal has experienced first-hand the ability of sport to change lives and unify people in communities around the world, particularly through his roles with Special Olympics. He always seeks to connect with others who are also using sport to create social impact.

Conal is a servant-leader, a change-maker, and a collaborator in all that he does, asking big questions and trying to help people along the way.
